Hi everyone! :-)
Summer is slipping away from us fast with the rain back once more after a beautiful few days with amazing heat - it was so good and we all got into holiday mode with the beaches packed, people out walking, cycling etc., but sure it's Ireland, and we know what to expect and that it never lasts too long. The garden needed the water anyway so happy days!
I have been working away in the art studio and enjoying myself. Trying out new things too. Natures pattern, textures,  and colour is what I enjoy most and between patterns in beach stones, beautiful patterns in the sea cliffs as it erodes from the sea and opens up new colours, the beauty in our woodlands in Kenure and St. Cath's, wild flowers in the fields and the gorgeous flowers in everyones gardens - natures beauty is everywhere for inspiration.
I am putting up a few of my latest works for you. xx

Hi everyone,

Well I got the large commission piece finished and it is now on my client's wall in her new home having delivered it on Monday last.  I am delighted that she is happy with it and it looks so well on her light grey wall of her living-room. :-)
It was the biggest one I have done so far (not that big for others but for me it was a challenge) and it was 100cm x 70cm which is quite a good size.
Entitled "Sunburst" and done in acrylic paint and acrylic inks and varnish coating for protection as a final finish.
I am putting up a photo of the piece here.

Hi everyone.

Hope all is ok with everybody in your world.  Raining here this morning and we were all set to go to visit Newbridge House and Gardens but it will have to be another day now. :-(
Haven't been on for a while, was so busy. My son Glenn was chosen as one of the five garden designers for the Rte 1 tv show "Super Garden" and it has been all go, go, go with helping him on site for about five weeks. His lovely girlfriend, Aiva, came over from Latvia to help too and the garden owners are so happy with the result. You can watch it here in Ireland every Tuesday night for the series. Two have been shown so far and three to go with Glenn's being the last one.  It was hectic for Glenn but so much fun and he is happy with what he achieved in his first ever attempt at designing a garden and he hopes to do this for the future! :-)
Other than that, I am not going ahead with the exhibition at Ardgillan after all - complications with setting it up. So I will set another exhibition date at a future time, maybe before end of year or next year.
I have been commissioned to do a large painting for a new house build and I am so happy with that and it will be a challenge as I have never done one this size before - it is 100cm x 70cm. I will put up a pic when completed.  I have also entered two pieces to the Eigse Carlow Arts Festival an waiting to see if I am accepted. So that's it for the mo.
Have a lovely weekend everyone. :-) x

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on for a while - a lot happening with different things going on here. Haven't had a chance to get much work done . My son is home from Latvia and when things settle I should be on here more often.
Weather has taken up and is lovely and giving it to be settled for a while thank God. It felt like a very long Winter and its great to see all the Spring flowers coming up - hopeful, positive and energetic.
My last work that I painted was this one below in acrylic ink called "Spring Tulip" and is due for framing soon. Also, I will be exhibiting at Ardgillan Castle this year in July so if you are in the area, keep note of that date in your diary if you would like to see my work. :-)
