I haven't been on for a while, lots happening. I have been getting work together for my upcoming art exhibition at Skerries Mills, Skerries, Co. Dublin which starts on the 28th Nov and is on until the 4th December so if you happen to be in the area or have an interest in seeing my work, why don't you pop along to the exhibition - all welcome. :-)
I will have over 30 works on display at the Mills, almost all are new works done this year.
Every year at this time, I look back on the year just gone at where I am at in my art and where I would like to go with it for next year - a sort-of appraisal of what I have done up to present day.
I still love colours, textures, shapes in what I do but also want to branch out from that to other works.
With my art, it comes from within, hard to explain at times but it is my best way of expressing myself as it all comes out on to the canvas with my use of colour and materials. Its my way of having my true voice of who I am.
Being a self taught artist, I have had to find my own way to where I am today, and at times I was not very confident and unsure in myself, but through trial and error, I have achieved lots and learned so much along the way and it was so enjoyable yet frustrating at times. I will never give up my art - always learning and with my deep love of nature, I will always be inspired to keep going.
I am rambling on here but you know what I mean I'm sure.
I am putting up these two paintings that I did recently for you to enjoy. And in case I am not on for a while, I am wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and great New Year 2017. Sending love to you all from me! :-)
