Hi everyone,
I go to Spain every year on holiday with my sister to a little place called Torrox, which is just down from Malaga and next town to Nerja which some of you might be more familiar with. We love Torrox and we stay in my sister's wood cabin on a hillside which is part of a camping site called "El Pino". We love it there and everyone knows everyone by now!
To get down to the village, we have to go walk downhill on the dried river bed where there also is a farmers goat track where the farmers herd their goats every day and we love going down this track as its so old-fashioned and full of character and we see the locals and say hello and they have makeshift greenhouses which are covered by plastic sheeting over the tomatoes they grow inside them. They also grow vines which are always laden with grapes and avocados grown very plentifully in the fields.
Many of the farmers have built new houses over the years but have left the old ones still standing nearby or incorporated them as part of the new build. But one of these small houses is one that stands alone, very dilapidated and is crumbling more and more every year. I always take a photo of it with the intention of doing a painting of it and this is the one I am showing you here as I've just finished it. I hope you enjoy it! :-)

I did this painting after I was inspired  by some honesty plant seed-cases that were growing in  my garden that I picked and brought in to the house  for a dried flower arrangement.

I used acrylic paint, inks and some gold leaf in it.

I did this little paintingearlier  today...its called "Rock pools with amber sky and Lambay Island in the distance" done with mixed media on paper... :)

And this is the other one I was working on today. I may leave it at this or go a bit further....

Such bad weather today! :( Rain, high winds, so dull that I have the lights on indoors but thank God I have a daylight bulb for my art studio so that I can work! :)
I did a small oil painting as I hadn't done oils for a while and it was fun (I usually work in acrylics or mixed media). Am also working on another painting with winter in mind as it has snow in it!

Hi everyone! Hope you have a nice sunday relaxing.  :) This little work is in sections - set out lifted off the backing by foam board - what do you think of setting it out this way?
They are abstract sections of the landscape in autumnal colours. Hope you like it!

I absolutely love autumn! The rich and vibrant colours in the trees, the blackberries in the hedgerows, the wheat fields with their hay bales all stacked up after the harvest, the colours of the fallen leaves on the ground amongst the bracken and in pools of water - I just love it all!!

My latest painting is "Autumn" ...mixed media on canvas board. :-)

With autumn coming in so fast, there is plenty of inspiration all around for creating artwork! :) It's my favourite time of year.

  I did this little piece yesterday, quite abstract, not sure if I will go further or leave it as it is but I enjoyed doing it. See what you think! :)

This is a little insight into my art studio!  It's cluttered and crazy at times but I love it and being in there is    when I am at my most happiest, creating my paintings! I usually have some soft, meditative or energetic      music on in the background, whichever suits how I am feeling on any particular day and recently I have found audio books very good while I am working away. :)

This is work that I have been doing recently. Inspired by the beautiful Summer we had this year and gardens overflowing with colour, I tried to capture a sense of how beautiful the flowers were. :) I hope you enjoy this album as much as I did painting it!
